Organisations offering support & advice

  • Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS)
  • Infrastructure Support Fund
  • Leeds City Council has funded the following organisations through its
  • Infrastructure Support Fund to provide advice to the VCFS.
LEEDS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Leeds Community Foundation is an independent grant-making organisation that raises funds from the private sector (primarily individuals and companies), as well as working alongside statutory funders with money to distribute.

These funds are then made available, in the form of grants, to small-to-medium sized voluntary, community and faith sector groups in Leeds.

The Foundation also acts as a flow-through funder for national organisations wanting to give grants in Leeds. Examples of this are the Sport Relief Fund, on behalf of Comic Relief, and the government's Grassroots Grants programme.

The Foundation is using the grant from the Infrastructure Support Fund to work in partnership with fit4funding and Voluntary Action-Leeds to provide an online funding database. This gives details of local funding and grant availability for VCFS organisations.

This can be found on this website. The grant also enables the Foundation to work with other infrastructure groups to hold up to three Funding Fairs a year, in different parts of the city. The aim of these events is to encourage other grant-making organisations to take a stand and

provide face-to-face advice to groups seeking funding. Further details of these events can be found at
