Services for Community Groups and Voluntary Organisations
fit4funding - has been providing information, advice and training to not-for-profit organisations throughout West Yorkshire since 1981.
The Place to go for Funding Information - Funding Points
fit4funding offers its funding advice services through Funding Points which are sited at premises of local agencies such as a Voluntary Action or Council for Voluntary Service within the communities of West Yorkshire.
At each Funding Point there are the resources you need to find the charitable trusts that might fund you as well as information on how to make funding applications.
There is access to a computer with FunderFinder, a database search engine of trusts, as well as the DSC and CAF guides and directories that FunderFinder provides references to.
You can print out details of the funding policies of the charitable trusts referred to, including the kind of projects they support, how much the trust gives, what for, when, where and so on.
In order to use this service it is necessary to attend a free training session (see fit4funding Training Programme) in using a Funding Point and then you will be able to access any Funding Point in West Yorkshire usually by prior appointment.
Your local Funding Points will complement the services already offered to voluntary groups by the above organisations. For further information about your local Funding Point, including training dates, contact the above - or drop in to one of the Funding Points for a browse around.
You will also find information leaflets and guidelines from a variety of grant givers as well as details of statutory funding from local councils , government and Europe and the funding councils such as those for Sports and the Arts.

Help within the Community - Outreach
fit4funding can provide some help directly to groups within the community in some parts of West Yorkshire through Outreach support. fit4funding can provide some help for those who might have difficulty in reaching Funding Points themselves or who require extra help beyond that offered through the Training Programme.
Looking for Funds - Searches
While every group or organisation is encouraged to undertake the process of looking for funds and making applications themselves it is sometimes possible for fit4funding to make searches using FunderFinder on their behalf. There is usually a charge of £50 for this service.
Help with Funding Applications - Consultancy
Where more support is required in making funding proposals fit4funding will provide a full Consultancy service for which charges are made at the rate of £450 a day.
