SRB Regeneration Scheme - Community Chest Grant

Aims:

To provide small start-up and development grants to community groups which operate within the Inner Wakefield Partnership which includes Eastmoor, Agbrigg, Portobello, Flanshaw, Darnley, Peacock, Plumpton and Lupset. The Central Partnership which includes, Featherstone, Sharlston, New Sharlston, Streethouse, Woodhouse (Normanton), Smirthwaite (Normanton) and South Pontefract (Chequerfield, Willow Park). The Freshaire Partnership which includes, Ferrybridge, Glasshoughton, Cutsyke, Smawthorne, Half Acres, Maltkins, Airedale, Ferry Fryston and Warwick.

To enable the communities within the above areas to take part in, and benefit from, the wide range of community services and activities, which are available in that locality.

Ineligible Bodies

  • individuals
  • commercial businesses
  • statutory organisations
  • political organisations
  • organisations which promote religious activities (where the grant is to be used for religious activity)

Criteria

  • must directly benefit programmes in the above Partnership areas
  • the project must be realistic and achievable within the stated timeframe
  • the project must demonstrate community participation
  • the maximum grant awarded to any group will be £1000 over the period of the SRB Regeneration Schemes
  • Publicity regarding a grant awarded will acknowledge the relevant SRB Regeneration Schemes
  • Grants awarded must be used as specified in the Grant Application Form
  • Evaluation and Monitoring Forms must be completed and returned upon request
