When funding ends
There are several approaches to dealing with the end of funding which are considered in the pages in this section.
It is important to think about future funding streams well before your grant or contract is due to end. Undertake a risk analysis considering a range of scenarios. For instance:
- Have you considered doing your work as a business?
- Could what you intended to do be run as a business?
- Will you have a product or service which you will sell?
- Will any profit be ploughed back into the business for the benefit of your community?
- Is there an opportunity through commissioning?
- Could you work in partnership to sustain your services?
