What happens when you receive funding?
Well obviously you will be delivering your project. Hopefully all will be going to plan but your funder will want you to demonstrate this.
Monitoring and evaluating your project is crucial.
Monitoring relates to checking that the day to day activities are going to plan whereas evaluating your project considers the value and impact of your activities. Evaluation can be internal or sometimes you need external evaluation of projects.

Part of the process is demonstrating that you spend your money wisely and as you stated in your application. Grant funding is usually restricted to do read the section on restricted funding or you could fall foul of the Charities Commission or Companies House when auditing your accounts. Your local community accounting service may help you with this.
