More complex issues for Funding Advisers
Training for Advisers and Funders Stage 2 tackles more complex issues, exploring new developments in funding, considers how to support groups and helps improve communication skills. It offers a mixture of half day and full day workshops and longer courses. Stage 2 provides advisers with a route towards continuing professional development.
Accreditation
There are three Stage 2 qualifications available
- "Securing Funding for Community Projects" (3 credits at level 3)
- "Interactive Presentation Skills" (1 credit at level 3)
- "Training the Trainer" (3 credits at level 3)
Supporting Groups with Large and complex bids
This half day session focuses on supporting groups that are trying to access more demanding funders such as the Big lottery, larger charitable trusts, European Funding and Government funding streams.
Supporting Groups with Procurement and Commissioning
Procurement and commissioning are often as new and intimidating to advisers as they are to groups. This half day session will give advisers an overview on how procurement officers and commissioners work and make decisions.
Supporting Groups with Accountability Issues
When groups are considering funding options, accountability issues such as monitoring requirements and project evaluation play an important part. This half day workshop gives advisers an overview of accountability issues.
Training skills for Advisers
This five day course is aimed at funding advisers and other supporting groups with funding issues in a training setting with additional hours required for home study.
Interactive Presentation Skills for advisers
This course is delivered as two full day sessions or by e-learning. It targets funding advisers without formal training qualifications and who wish to develop their presentation skills. It develops confidence and skills in a creative, interactive and effective way.
